Distance: 20km | Elevation: 1000m
Knowing the hill layout from yesterday, a route planned and a van with 'juice' - set out with intention of going up to An Leth-chreag along ridge to Carn Eighe to do the Easterly 3, coming back from Mam Sodhail via Sgùrr na Lapaich. Well described walk, perhaps ambitious in the winter - set ot very early in great conditions. Weather rapidly changed and became clear walking on ridges wasn't a good idea. Despite protests from Alfie - bailed at 900m, to return to truely a 'winter wonderland'. So much snow had fallen the place had changed. So, next day was just beautiful. Returned to do these hills in Sept 2020 in amazingly warm weather.

Sometimes it's just 'Best to Bail'

Not convinced Alfie liked the early start into the hills.
So promising
And enticing
But - sometimes you just know...
But you return down to this!
With Stags in the snow
And magical loch reflections
And just so stunning. Next day was even better!
