Drove up from Glenbrittle campsite to start at the Youth Hostle. Didn't look too promising with low cloud over tops. Lovely walk into Coire a' Ghreadaidh and steeply up scree to An Dorus. Decided on 'the fox' first, scrambled up first leaving Alfie behind - only to find him waiting for me. Fairly easy up to the top. Despite the clouds it felt quite exposed. Then back to An Dorus and the next one. Was a greasy, slipperly day and Alfie could find no other route other than the steep scramble. It was a long lift! Luckily 2 other walks arrived and were able to pass Alfie up to me using Harness. Walk from there was easy. Arrived back at An Dorus - no way Alfie could make it down and too big a drop for me to lift down. I had brought some rope etc but have never had to use this before with Alfie. Tied him on and ready to lower him. Threw down and end to the walkers who had arrived back and used this to 'encourage' him down. Once down, no further issues and he scampered down the scree and back to Van. Glad to have done but will try not to have to rope Alfie down again. Don't think he enjoyed it!
