Distance: 18.9km | Elevation: 1700m
There are a lot of Red Mountains in Scotland (Dearg - Red). He still had a few to go (Fisherfield ones were waiting!) but this one was right up there for Alfie. After the rest day at Applecross he was ready. Wasn't quite sure which hill was the one - but driving up towards Sheidaig the choice was clear. I was slightly concerned about the description of the scramble descents after the summit but Alfie slithered down them all while my back was turned. Beautiful views of all the surrouding hills all day, and he did some great picture posing. A dip in the river on the way down completed it. Time for a quick cycle for me (between Lower Diabaig &Torridon is great). Setting sun was so stunning I took Alfie to view. He really wasn't bothered.
