Had planned to walk the Paps but the cloud was low so it seemed a shame. Instead took the kayak up to Tarbert on the school bus (had checked the day before that this was possible). Walked over the good track to the head of Loch Tarbert, Hadn't checked the tide tables, so fortunately it was high and just turning. Inflated and set off - nice and fast through the narrow sections - no work required. Had packed walking boots - so parked up and walked over the raised beaches. Beautiful area, no one about except the seals to keep Alfie entertained. Felt it best to wait for the moon to move a bit to drag me back through the narrows. Worked a treat and made it in plenty of time for the school run back!
