Had parked overnight at Signal Rock after the previous days walk. Moved van to parking spot just before bridge on A82 and managed to avoid traffic walking across. Had vague plans for walk after the Doctor's, likely heading back up to the treasure so stuck the crampons in. Was another cold crispy bright morning - just stunning views up Glencoe. Walk in on good track and crossed the river on the rocks. Once the Corbett was done - the munro was calling. Glad of the crampons - icy and steep in places. The peak of the treasures was a giver! The sun and the cloud was just perfect for a fog bow and spectre - never seen the 2 together. Was so taken with this and chased it all the way! The cloud completely covered the short decent to Stob an Fhuarain that was the route. In my excitement I never stopped but followed the SE ridge to the Bealach - a drop of over 400m. I had a vague recall of coming down this way in 2019! Needed a decision as the nights start early. After an initial thought of heading to the Bealach Fhionnghaill, I realised this involved horrible steep contouring and committed to the up and over to known terrain. Was glad I did - stunning sunset and a good path back - so a double positive from a single error. Stars & a head torch helped with an icy path home. Headed east as the weather was changing - stopping for an overnight at Creag Meagaidh (a favourite of Alfies) and a stock up of venison (perhaps why).
